The Dinning Sisters
When you live in Wichita, Oklahoma and the family is big enough to operate the farm with people left over you have to find something else to do. And so Lou, Eugenia and Virginia got together and (skipping a bit of local history) moved to Chicago, got on NBC, The National Barn Dance and signed with Johnny Mercer's Capitol Records. Oh yes, they made a number of mives, too!
In 46 Lou headed out on her own as a solo act and was replaced by Jayne Bundesen and wore out from the travel schedule in 3 years. Dolores Dinning (the youngest of the 9) came on board and stayed on until 52. Besides Capitol they cut sides for Decca and Essex.
