Constantly busy in the 40s and 50s, The Novelty Aces - consisting of Art and Susie West, Gerry Howe and Emmylou Harris - could be heard any Saturday night on the leading Jamborees and Barn Dances of the time. From Cinncinati it was WLWs Boone County Barn DAnce while from Renfro Valley in Kentucky it was the appropriately named Renfro Valley Barn Dance while from Gene Autry's KMBC in Los Angeles it was the Country Carnival Jamboree. All this and they still found time for the weekly Chuck-Wagon Jamboree (still heard today on AM 680 KBRD Olympia WA - www.kbrd.org).
